The Basics

Why the color you pick actually matters

Each light mode on your Tyxena mask is chosen for how it makes your skin look and feel, not as a medical treatment. Picking a mode is less about finding one single "best" color and more about matching it to how your skin feels that day.

New to the mask, or want the full before and after-use routine first? Start with our guide to using your LED mask safely, then come back here to get to know each mode.

This is a comfort and appearance guide, not medical advice

Nothing here should be treated as a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Speak with a qualified professional if you have a medical skin condition or any uncertainty about light use.

The Four Modes

Meet the colors on your mask

Tyxena's own LED Light Therapy Face Mask runs four light modes, each with its own reason to reach for it.

01 Red Light

Warm red light for skin that looks more elastic, more awake. A good pick on mornings when your skin feels tired before it looks it.

02 Blue Light

Cool blue light to help calm and clarify the look of your skin. Many people reach for this one after a long day.

03 Yellow Light

Yellow light for a more balanced, soothed feel, especially where oil and shine build up. Try it when your T-zone needs some evening out.

04 White Light

White light with a brightening feel, for a more even tone and a refreshed look over time. A steady pick for your regular rotation.

Quick Picks

How to pick a mode for today

Not sure where to start? Match the mode to how your skin feels right now.

  • Skin looks a little tired or dull? Try red.
  • Skin feels a bit overwhelmed or reactive? Try blue.
  • T-zone feels oily or congested? Try yellow.
  • Want a steady, even-toned look built up over time? Try white.
  • Still not sure? Any mode is a fine place to start. There is no wrong choice here.
Timing

Getting the timing right

A session defaults to 10 minutes, and each mode also has 3 brightness levels, so you can adjust the feel without changing the color.

  • New to the mask? Patch test on your arm for about 10 minutes before your first full-face session.
  • Sessions default to 10 minutes and can be adjusted shorter or longer from the controller.
  • Step through the 3 brightness levels on the controller until the feel is comfortable for you.
  • A simple rhythm to start with: 3 to 5 sessions a week for about 4 weeks, then see how it feels.
  • Charge the mask fully before first use, and keep an eye on the controller's battery display so a session is not interrupted.
Consistency

Building the habit

Pick a Still Moment

A slow morning or a winding-down evening works better than squeezing a session between other tasks.

Stay With One Mode

Give a mode a few sessions before switching, so you can actually notice how it feels for you.

Keep It Visible

A mask stored somewhere you will see it is a lot easier to remember than one tucked away in a drawer.

Clean It Each Time

Wipe the silicone with a soft damp towel after every session and let it air-dry before you put it away.

FAQ

Quick answers

Can I switch modes every session?

Yes. There is no required order. Many people simply pick whichever mode matches how their skin feels that day.

Does a higher brightness work faster?

Brightness changes how the light feels during a session, not how quickly it finishes. Start at a comfortable level and adjust from there.

What if I miss a few days in my 4-week rhythm?

Just pick back up where you left off. It is a rhythm to aim for, not a strict deadline.

Should I use the full 20 minutes right away?

The mask defaults to a 10-minute session for a reason. Get comfortable there first before trying a longer one.
